Managing directors and heads
Is their a difference between a managing director and the head of a group or are they the same thing?

usually, but sometimes i've seen 'heads' of groups be ED/Directors if it's a sector that the bank is weak on in terms of senior guy relationships.
Oh don't over think it. It's just a fucking title. Yes if you work at UBS and you're the last guy on the desk, you're the defacto "head"
