Mandated 9:00am Arrival?
Recently caught up with a friend in IB and was told the other day that his firm was setting the expectation of 9:00am arrivals for the bullpen...
He works at a boutique, as did I (about 8 analysts, probably 30 bankers in total) and from my experience we had always showed up between 9:00am-10:00am, given the job pushes you to late nights and naturally, mornings - unless some sort of fire drill / finish line to get to in the AM.
Was curious if anyone else has experienced this or heard of any firms setting this expectation.
I’m in a product group, we are all in at 8:15-8:30, but we typically out by 9/10pm at the latest so uh
Never heard of a mandated thing, our MD gets in around 9:15 so it’s mainly beating him
If you have to be in office by a certain time you’re not getting cranked hard enough
exactly lol...
at an EB, you guys leave the office except on weekends? i am pretty sure thats only allowed ASO1 and above at my place
This is fucking dumb and such an anti-analyst policy.
Not fair for them to demand butts in seats by 9 am, unless they’re willing to demand a 12 am cut off time for work. Highly recommend analysts push back and ignore this BS, they can’t enforce it if everyone doesn’t comply.
