Master's Degree for IB SA '26

This might sound ridiculous, but this is not a troll post (I swear). I am a sophomore at a target and I have made progress towards my degree to the point where I can get a Bachelor's Degree in 2026 and a Master's in 2027. This would NOT be an MBA. It would be a Master's in Computer Science probably.

Now Plan A would be to land a nice SA 2025 seat and graduate with a bachelor's degree in 2026. Now I've been thinking to myself, should Plan A fail, I take Plan B:

- Do whatever mediocre SA 2025 internship I land

- In 2025 winter, recruit for SA 26 and land top SA 26 seat

- Graduate with a bachelor's degree in Spring 2026

- Do SA 26 internship

- Graduate with a Master's in Spring 2027

Is this a possibility? How would this look to a banker reviewing resumes? Would my resume just be tossed in this situation? Let me know your thoughts

So on applications, would I list two degrees in progress, one to be completed in 2026 and the other in 2027?

heyo, i'm at a target in the UK looking to move geographies (US). Spoke with a few master's programs and my understanding is that the general recruiting pipeline (applying online) is something that needs to be done, but all good major universities will also have their own pipelines to these firms. So if you do a master's, they (the university) will have their own ways of getting you a summer and getting you recruited because their timelines might differ from conventional undergrad timelines.

Would love to understand more about why you think this would be a disadvantage? I've landed a summer this year but still want to go the masters route, I just think it's nicer to have a specialisation in something. You have all your life to work but you can't go back to your early 20s and get another degree. Another degree feels so much more useful than an extra year of work (especially because you get promoted faster if your skillset from the masters is similar to what you're working on at your job)
