MBA associate to PE

Hi All, I wanted to understand PE recruiting as an MBA associate. I have heard that PE likes to take analyst or A2A associates. How difficult would it be for an MBA associate to jump to PE after a year or two in IB? And would we face any disadvantage when we actually make it to PE? I’m thinking about my career path so any advice or opinion would be helpful! Thanks,
