MBA Fellowship/I-Banking/Consulting

If you were offered a pre-mba fellowship with a BB IBD, what do you see as pros and cons to accepting it aside from the obvious (no need to recruit for summer internship and partial tuition payment)? Suppose IBD no longer interests you following the internship--how difficult would it be to recruit for MBB consulting full-time with a BB IBD internship with "X Bank MBA Fellowship" on your résumé? How important is consulting internship to landing a full-time MBB offer? For context, I'll be attending H/S/W this fall. Relatively high GPA, low 700's GMAT, and top-tier undergrad. Non-traditional background.
