MBA for an idiot

Hi feel like I’m gonna be a poor mediocre half failure my whole life but thought maybe an MBA from a good school could help me do better?? I went to the university that was the cheapest even though I got into better schools but didn’t realize it was barley top 100 and that it actually matters more than I thought. Just wondering if it’s even possible to get in to an M7 from a non-target with no IB or MBB experience. Rather I have done a lot with startups. Thanks.

Assuming you are not diversity, if you crush the GMAT (720+ for T15, 760 for m7) and can spin a good yarn you should be fine.

My advice: start a bs company as a side hustle and claim entrepreneurship, get involved / on the junior board of some charity (not very hard, Google and you’ll find something), have a job where you can at least claim youve been promoted and manage a couple people, start grinding the GMAT, apply to 8+ of the T15.

If you do all of those things I’d give you a 99.9% of admission to a T15 assuming you’re not a complete weirdo in interviews.

Thank you! Yeah I didn’t realize community service was something that MBA programs cared about so the charity strategy is definitely a move and something I wasn’t thinking about.
