Meeting (PE) recruiters before even starting at your IBD?

Hi all,

I'm starting at a BB IBD in London in the near future. As I have some time before I start I was wondering if it is smart to reach out to a few (PE) recruiters. I've heard people saying that it is quite hard to meet new recruiters while on the job (when you are new and learning everything). This way we have already met face to face and we only need to update each other via mail or phone about current ideas/positions.

What is your opinion on meeting these recruiters before I will be swamped with work?
