MF Offer but Unhappy

Hey everyone. I have recently accepted an offer to join a MF in London but feel absolutely nothing inside, not even despair, just nothing. I feel like in finance, due to everything being ranked, you are so tied to this idea of climbing up the ladder that you never stop to ask yourself whether you are making the right choice.

Am I making a mistake by purely going of "common perception"? What are the alternatives? Consultants are a bunch of wankers while start-up people are all narcissists at heart (I know saying this doesn't make me very likeable haha)

Also, this is not supposed to be "weird flex" kind of post. MF recruiting processes are totally random.

No... because it doesn’t pay enough. I actually enjoy trading... i mean there are bad days and good days... bad days because of mostly due to market making haha. I actually prefer pure spec trading but the reason why I like market making because it gives me an edge understanding the flow and Maneuvering my book on top of implement my strategy. I didn’t grow up in an easy life. And because I lived in a life of abuse, I became mentally strong and something inside me was screaming to join SOf because personally, I know I have the mental and physical aptitude to make it. So it’s one of those things where I’m gonna regret not going. I can always go back to trading but not special operations. Worst thing a man can do is regret not going for it
