I am not trying to compare CSFB with PJT, but it would surely be nice to compare the skillset and reputation of two of the biggest dealmakers of recent times. For those who have been fortunate enough to follow Taubman in the late 2000s and early 2010s (before founding PJT), please share your insights!

Paul is/was a top merger banker and frankly a seriously nice guy. Very smart too.
Need to think about the supporting cast beyond these two. Taubman brought over almost the entire MS IBD Mgmt team when PJT formed. CS has absolutely bled talent across all levels including 50+ MDs
Paul also attracted top mid and junior talent with a unique culture and top pay. CS has never and frankly will not be able to pay top of street.
Mike is a real G but it's literally PJT here. Plus, my boy PJT looks more athletic - Mike looks kinda worn out and chubby especially with the jawline, altho eyes still look ruthless
Both are studs in their own right. Taubman’s traditionally been a media & telecom banker, and his relationships and deals reflect that. Klein’s an EMEA generalist (Saudi deals, Glencore/XStrata, advised the UK Gov during the GFC).
