Mid market bank London to US BB - feasible?

Hi all,

Currently working at a Japanese bank in London and I'm currently looking to move to a BB/EB in the US. Reason being is that I am mostly pitching in my team and haven't learned anything in the last few months - don't want to become underqualified in case I make a jump later in life. My questions are:

1. How's the hiring situation for junior associates at the moment? (Aware GS HC has run out of people)

2. I don't have much deal experience - would this be a major roadblock for me / expose me to getting downgraded or would this not happen at my level?

If someone has prior experience dealing with these type of transitions your insights would be highly appreciated!
