Happens all the time. I'd venture to say almost every deck has a mistake somewhere.

If it's noticeable or important, just point it out and make sure they have the right number/information if brought up. If some major number is messed up, it's the VP/D/MD fault for not checking the big items. If it's just a comps number, won't even get noticed.

Not a problem. It's not like precedents are really the focus of any deck/conversation. Just go through your associate and make sure VP at minimum is aware in case client asks (they won't) - VP will just say "I think the multiple is closer to #.#x for our transaction" precedents are just a CYA move to justify an approximate price point. the client knows what they are going to pay

This is one of the reasons that IB is so overdue to follow the rest of the civilized world and put shared files in a secure online repository, vs. emailing them around. (Like emailing is so "secure"...). Mistake in your deck / model / prospectus or whatever? Fix it, post a new/corrected one, and if you really want to go nuts, delete the one with the mistake. 99% reduction in heartburn.
