MM boutique Analyst 1 offer vs. Master in Finance

Hi everyone,

I’ve been recently offered an Analyst 1 offer at a MM boutique in Spain after a full year M&A FIG internship (off-cycle for 6 months, then Trainee for another 6 months). During this time, I was told there was no chance for me to stay, but I guess they changed their mind. Anyway, I had to look for different exits, being one of them doing a masters degree. I’ve almost finished my application to the Masters in Finance at IE business school, with only the interview left to pass. If I get accepted in the masters, what would you guys recommend me to do? I guess it depends, so here are my goals:

I would like to land an M&A position at a BB or become an investment analyst at a reknown PE fund, most likely abroad (Spain works too, come on, can't beat our weather!), but I am really not sure what is the best way to try and get it. I’m 27 years old with several finance work experiences, one being at a top BB for 2 years at their traditional trade finance division, and another one at a RE Corporate Finance boutique (1 year).I really want to to do this masters but whereas some people say it is a great idea to do so in order to get what I want, other colleagues say is better to consolidate yourself as an Analyst, no matter where, and then you can try to lateral somewhere else. I know the fact that doing the masters would most likely put me back at the bottom of the chain, yet I believe it is still the best way to reach what I said (or would I be too old by then? You guys tell me)

So.. What do you think?

Thanks in advance!
