MM IB over GS PWM?
There has been a decent amount of previous discussions comparing BB PWM to BB IB, but I was wondering what the consensus was on pursuing MM IB over GS PWM. I'm not dead set on PWM, but I think the name and ability to internally transfer (e.g. to AM) is appealing. It seems like the exit opps out of MM are also not amazing, so I was hesitant. Would appreciate any opinions - for context I am a target and rising junior.
Depends on the tier of MM (Blair vs Cowen is a huge difference) and long term goals. If you want to do PE for example, better off starting in IB
For the sake of pay, take IB
Mobility at GS is not that good. It's very difficult to do.
