Moelis vs Rothschild London

I got an offer for both Moelis and Rothschild (London office). I am planning to do a few years of banking before moving to the buyside

Which firm positions better for PE? Ideally, I am targetting large cap, UMM funds

Would love to hear your thoughts on exit opportunities

Didn't go to either (was at a US BB in London) but from what I saw they both don't place badly. Granted they aren't PE associate factories because most of what you do at both is churning MM sellsides so you may have to spend some time convincing a headhunter but they are both great banks so if you're committed I'm sure you'll end up somewhere that makes you happy. Recruiting seems to be as much driven by language ability and visa requirements as bank and team prestige.

From what I hear on culture Moelis is substantially better than e.g. Rothschild HC, but I guess it is team dependent. Also Moelis is generalist across M&A and Rx, in case that's your thing.
