Monkey needs advice

Greetings fellow chimps,

I need advice regarding how to network. Whilst I am perfectly capable of doing it within the city in which I study, I.e. - know the drill around coffee chats, student societies, events, relationship building etc, I have been struggling recently with one application to a U.S.-based virtual summer role for 2025 grads. (yes, open to European students as well). Estimated rate of acceptance - 10%. The firm is famous for not having any assessment stages and networking being somewhat valuable in securing event opportunities. Hence, since I can’t demonstrate my abilities through a test and I can’t physically network across the ocean (and yes, tried LinkedIn outreach to NY employees, didn’t work), and I am in a pickle.

P.s. - unfortunately, don’t know anyone from the London office either apart from interns (and I don’t go to LSE)

Would appreciate any advice
