Moral mistake ??

Hello,
just thaught of something and I'm quite puzzled about it. I've been contacting M&A analysts and associates for a long time now, talking to them and showing my enthousiasm for a summer analyst position, some have suggested that I send them my CV when applying so they can forward it to HR and support my application.
I'm thinking though, since I've been friendly to all those really kind people, if they fast-track me, and then I eventually chose (when I get a summer internship hopefully) another bank than theirs, that wouldn't be really cool for them ...
If you were in their position, would you hate me if I turned out an offer after being fast-tracked thanks to you?
How to react in that case??

Thanks in dvance for your opinions.

It's all about relationships. You will kinda piss them off, but then it depends on how much you want to value the relationship.

Well they've been really nice to me, some suggested to help me out during the recruitment process before I even ask you see ...

Some will take the pragmatic approach that you're going to take whatever bank best fits your desires. Other's will think you're an ungrateful dick, so is life. It really depends on how hard they work for you, if they're putting their name on the line saying you're a great guy and this is the response they get it can look poor on their behalf for recommending you.

Just because you connect with one person doesn't imply that you will be a good fit for the team, or the team will be a good fit for you.

yeah I absolutely agree with you, I'm just talking from a hypothetical point of view that's all .. thanks for sharing your thoughts
