Most Common Deals in a Coverage Group?

what are the most common deals that an analyst will work on in a coverage group?

what would you consider are the most valuable/complex deals, M&A?

what % of time is spent pitching deals vs execution?

Thanks.

In M&A, the most complex deals are the ones that require lots of Synergy modeling and the ones that a firm carries too much goodwill on its books. I interned in oil & gas group of the bank, and I think those M&A deals are the "hardest" because you create arbitrary values for PDP, PDNP, PUD, and then you apply a multiple based on a reserve report.

Right now, most people think that we are getting out early because not a lot of M&A deals are going through the pipeline, but its quite the opposite. Our MD's are busting their balls trying to chase new business which means pitchbooks for us. I would actually say, I am spending more time on powerpoint and useless slides, then actually working on a deal.

why are you such a loser? i think americans naturally hate people from the UK but you are the reason for the stereotype. if you think i am a weak candidate than you are mistaken. buy a hooker up there or something. i know the weather sucks but jesus.

First of all, I am an American and I study in the U.S. And, you are an ignorant redneck; moreover, you can't even tell the difference between "then" and "than". Gee, stop PMing me flgators519.

I sucked cock for 10 weeks last summer and now I know everything about banking, don't question me.

clever. an attempted cover up - post a fabricated message obvious enough so that others might be tricked into thinking that his redneck msg was also fabricated (honestly, I think I blushed while reading his msg...it was just too painfully embarrassing to read on). this is the epitome of SEO. I am doubting now, do you even have an SEO spot?
