Moving from IB to GCB?

For lack of a better word will this be career suicide? In the sense that exit optionality or advancement reduces dramatically? I like IB and the work I do, I find it very interesting but it just reaches a point of burnout thats made me such a jaded shit and no one here gives a fuck about you and the hours you pull. For some reason some associates brag about working 100hrs a week and their intensity like its something to be proud of.. fuck me if i ever turn out like them lol

Would u move from IB to GCB? Is the tradeoff for a better WLB in GCB lack of career advancement / optionality?
