Moving office from UK to USA as an IB analyst married to an American citizen

As an incoming first year London based analyst at a BB IB who is married to an USA citizen, what are the possibilities of moving to a NY office (my wife is based in NY BTW) at the beginning of my 2nd analyst year?

I know I won't have to go through the L1 visa BS as I will be receiving my green card, however how would I go about making the transfer happen after my 1st analyst year in the U.K. as quickly and smoothly as possible?

I know a guy who was working as an IB analyst at a BB in NYC and he successfully transferred to London after 1.5 years (he had dual citizenship). I don't see why it should be a problem the other way around, the biggest obstacle is usually the visa so if you have a GC you should be fine.

Be prepared to work extremely hard to prove yourself as they most likely won't let you do this if you're a bottom bucket.

Did you apply for your GC already? It usually takes a year to receive it. I went through the process and it took longer for me bc it was at the height of the pandemic but it's probably better now.
