Moving on and moving up?

Currently I am an analyst for a finance related company and graduated this past December. I have been working the job for about 5 months now getting the absolute basic experience (excel, Bloomberg, factset, etc.), but don't want to persue a long term position within the company. I've seen a few entry level analyst openings at a couple IBs lately and was wondering if I should start applying now or tuff it out for atleast a year? (my ultimate goal is to work in ib)

What do you think?

Apply. The networking effort / recruiting cycles will take longer than you think. Before you know it you'll have been there near a year anyway.
