Trying to get some color on groups at various firms - based on overall strength relative to peer groups how would you rank the below MS groups (M&A, MediaComm, HC, GPUG, Transpo, FIG, sponsors, CRG, industrials?)

MS is one of the best banks on the street. You should be well set in any of their groups. I'll just say that their M&A group is insane (probably the top M&A group across BBs), and Media / Comm is around the same level (although GS TMT is maybe slightly better on the margin). Sponsors is a great group as well. Probably pointless trying to rank it but it's among the top handful of sponsors groups (maybe not as high up as CS / BofA but close enough). I've seen people from more niche groups like GPUG exit frequently into top notch generalist UMM / MF PE. Bottom line, the MS name goes a long way overall.
Thanks for the insight! Any idea how the Tech group fares (NY-specific)?
