MSc Finance Paris Dauphine (PSL) reputation in London IB?
I was checking the list of the best reputed MSc Finance programs for breaking into IB in London and most of them are BS and very few universities.
I was wondering about the employer reputation of Paris Dauphine in high finance fields like IB, PE, AM, S&T in London?
PSL appears on very few of the top rankings for MSc Finance programs...
Is PSL on par with ESSEC/ESCP ?
Based on the most helpful WSO content, Paris Dauphine (PSL) has a solid reputation in France, particularly for finance-related fields, but its recognition in London for Investment Banking (IB) and other high finance roles like Private Equity (PE), Asset Management (AM), and Sales & Trading (S&T) is more limited compared to top-tier programs like HEC, ESSEC, or ESCP.

Recommendation:
If your goal is to break into London IB, consider programs with stronger placement records and alumni networks in the UK, such as HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, or even UK-based schools like LSE, Imperial, or Warwick. If PSL is your only option, focus heavily on networking, internships, and leveraging any alumni connections to improve your chances.

Dauphine is a strong target more for markets but not for IB in general. You'll have to grind more than the likes of hec or escp for London IB.
Paris has a lot of boutiques though, and dauphine plus French will definitely help to get a first exp somewhere, which you then leverage for a summer in London.
In terms of ROI, it will be the best option really.
So basically I have no chance to get into London IB/PE/AM directly after grad?
Unless I work a few years in Paris first...
Few years? No just an internship or two during the summer/gap year.
It's currently very difficult to land top BBs straightaway even through top target schools if you don't have some relevant internships. Brand name/prestige matters much less now than it used to, since there's so many cash cow programs out there.
So in that case, PSL is on par with ESSEC and ESCP right?
All three schools will be able to get me some good local (french) summer or off-cycle internships, after which I can break into London IB/PE after finishing my second year of grad?
