MSc in Global Investment Banking vs Internship
Hi all,
Wondering what people's takes are on doing an MSc in investment banking or if I should do an internship in IB or PE and hope for a return offer. I mostly wanted to do sales but the job market is ass so I can't find anything but PE is quite interesting as well. If I did an MSc in IB I would not do a career in IB but rather try to pivot into PE ASAP, that's why I also consider how good an MSc in IB would be in the long run, it's also the first time this program opens and runs.
Another important aspect of this to me is what path will give me the most knowledge and make me the smartest. Will taking an MSc in IB and then becoming an analyst be rewarding in my overall career based on how much I'll learn in business or is the small boutique PE internship route better? What will be most rewarding in 10 years if I were to say want to become an entrepreneur?
