Navidar Group

NAVIDAR GROUP --

Can anyone tell me anything about this bot.? Any insight on interview process, what type of questions on the phone, culture, comp, etc? Any insight is much appreciated. I have a phone interview with them soon. Let me know if anyone knows anything about this firm -- really wanna get this analyst role. Thanks!

Former tech bankers. A lot of their deal flow comes from Indianapolis. The team moved to Austin from NYC recently. You probably won't find any boutiques in Austin that just focus on tech with the types of BB backgrounds the MDs at Navidar have (most ibanking professionals in Austin have Big 4 backgrouds, etc.)

Also interested in learning about Navidar. Have the option of interviewing with them for a position in their Austin office- heard good things about Austin as a city but not as a finance city. Interested in learning about the culture of the firm, exit opps (if known), and compensation- It is pretty small from what I have gathered, but a better estimate on number of bankers would be great as well. Thank you!

Try just have 3 MDs and 1 VP. They aren't looking for an analyst to do their 2 years and bounce. They want someone who is set on banking and will grow with the firm to MD level.

these guys are fairly new and pretty small. its not like they are Jefferies where you can just post about them on WSO and expect firm specific advice about their interview process. It is obvious that most people are taking information from their job description or website and posting it on here.

I know one of their MDs (who came from HC/Tech at a BB) and they would be a very cool place to work at. They are probably looking to hire their first analyst, so you can expect anything. wouldn't be surprised if they had you build a model or some type case study. They also have a small merchant banking piece (basically a VC fund) where they opportunistically invest in private companies in their space, so you will get a well rounded experience.

With that said, Austin is not the best place to be as a 20 something year old financier. So unless you have family there I would look at other places where you can take advantage of a larger network and have a better career trajectory.

But 6th street > career trajectory. (not srs)
