Need advice- summer Internship

I'm currently a Junior and have accepted an IB internship at a Middle Market bank for the upcoming summer. I have already signed the offer but still need to complete Pre-employment, which will be mid-April.

Only issue is last week while on Spring break in Florida, I got a Misdemeanor charge for Underage drinking (I'm 20). Long story short: Its completely bullshit, but a few buddies and I got stopped for holding beers at a poolside event. We got processed there and were released.

It's going to be dropped and will not be on my record for the long run, but I'm guessing it will pop up when my background gets checked in just over a month.

Does anyone have any experience with a situation like this?

I've had a perfectly clean record up until now and it was such a petty offense, but I'm worried I could have an issues when pre-employment rolls around.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
