Do we "really" need high GMAT scores to get in top 10 Bschool ?
when i look at the schools' page, they always say ... admitted students' GMAT scores range from 530-800 for instance, how can a guy with 530 have a shot ? being minority ?

Being George W. Bush etc. The range isn't nearly as important as the median or average. Stanford, I think, currently has the highest median, at 720 flat. That is scary -- half the people that got admitted scored more than that.
Yes you "really" do. Spend the extra hours and give yourself an advantage.
