To add to this -- what's generally more prestigious/better exit opps @ CS: sponsors or M&A?
interested if there are really any significant differences between the experience i will be getting (culture, modelling, dealflow) between these choices as well.

Having a few contacts doesn't necessarily guarantee you a group. That being said, I would choose JPM. Maybe CS if you have a particular interest in TMT or if you like their culture. Citi and DB don't even bother.
im fairly certain that i can get into Sponsors and Tech at CS (since VP's from those groups basically got me the SA offer) same goes with Industrials and Power at Citi.
With that said,
What would be some differences between JPM and CS IBD NY particularly for someone focused on TMT (gunning for VC). Do JPM groups usually outsource a lot of their M&A etc work? How about CS?
Is the Citi offer really not worth it? I thought they had pretty good dealflow?
Damn. Nice set of offers.
I don't know the answers to some of your specific questions, but if you're looking for prestige and exit opps, the clear winners are JPM and CS Sponsors.
CS Sponsors is great at what they do, I'd think they are a little ahead of M&A... but you are comparing two really good groups.
If you wanna play risky, go with JPM-IBD, just make sure you do not get into Capital Mkt team in your placement. If you wanna play safe, go with CS Sponsors. Their TMT team is decent as well.
JPM TMT is pretty good, with a decent amount of dealflow. As for CS--you said you had a contact in Energy--their Energy is best (along with JPM) on the Street. Not sure about TMT at CS.
