Negative Career Impact after Point 72 Summer Internship?

Thanks so much for the help of the Wall Street Oasis people in the past.

Currently wonder the degree of negative impact that summering at Point72 will have on your long-term career in hedge fund, banking, or private equity for full-time. Some people in the hedge fund industry told me never to go there even for summer internships due to the negative publicity with the firm and the recent news that Cohen will not be able to touch external capital until later. They claimed that I might not be able to receive interviews anywhere else in finance if I interned there in the past. Is this true?

Just want to get a wide range of opinions about the firm. I think I should probably post this under HF forum, but I am really comparing this with other BB/EB opportunities. Any input would appreciated. Please try to cite some evidence if possible. Thank you!

That sounds completely and utterly absurd. Hopefully professionals within the industry can clarify this, but I seriously doubt it.
