NETWORKING: Did I blow this one off?

I was networking with a school alumnus of mine yesterday via email and I feel that I blew it off by being too casual with my response. (This wasn't the initial email, it was a response to his email.)He is an MD at a BB. He advised me with career options. Perfect. Then I responded, thanking him for his time and response and asked him if he could provide some time to meet in person. In the beginning, I was very formal and "professional" with my wording, but for some reason towards the end I felt the need to be more direct and casual if you will. So I said something like "I will travel to your office any where any time with two cups of coffee in my hands to speak with you", something along those lines. Did I fuck up? I did want to be a bit more direct and aggressive, which leaves me thinking, was I way too informal? Did I offend him in any way? He hasn't responded for 24 hours and I'm still waiting.

What do you guys think?
