Networking & miscellaneous

Hi Guys,

I have a few questions, and if you could please share your experience with me that would be great. I am a senior graduating this December with 2 valuation internships looking to transition into IB. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have emailed alumni and talked with them over the phone regarding their career. They all seem to give the same general advice. However, I do not feel like it has been helpful. The advice are great, but how can I be sure that I will get an interview? Should I be direct and ask them to look at my resume?

Bank of America and Wells Fargo are coming to my school, however there has not been any posting on my school's career site. Is this just a PR stunt?

Unless you're lucky, most people you do a cold email to or a informational interview with isn't going to offer you a job, or an interview on the spot. You actually have to come out and ask for it.

Now that you have talked to them once before, now you could shoot them an email saying something like, I appreciate your advice, and I saw that your firm is looking for position ABC, what would be the best way to position myself to get an interview?
