Networking Next Week

WSO,

I have made a number of networking contacts that I am planning on talking to about summer analyst recruiting. I think some firms have their interviews start in mid-January so I want to contact the people I've networked with as soon as I can. Next week would be ideal, but are people generally available in the week between Christmas and New Years? I don't want all of my emails to go through unread. Would it be better to wait until after New Years?

You are going to get quick feedback from a couple of those contacts and nothing from the vast majority. The ones that are in the office/checking email probably won't have much going on (me) but the ones that aren't probably won't respond.

Picked a bad week to do this.

So if someone like you has nothing going on, wouldn't you be willing to grab a coffee or something? I'm a junior and I talked to a few seniors who did SA at BBs (and got return offers) and they say its perfectly fine to ask, but you should aim for after Christmas, like December 27/28th. From what I understand, analysts are getting a lot of shit done now so they can get a few days off.

Sure I would but my director, sr. director and VP are all out of the office and in other countries.
