Networking Nightmare

Long story short, I worked for a search fund over the summer and was given an email address. I applied to 20-40 IBD positions, and did all my networking through that email address. The internship ended and my boss shut off my email address (just didnt think it was needed anymore). I cannot access it at all, or at least that is my understanding.

Is there any way to get it back (look at all you tech savvy guys)?

How to proceed? I emailed tons of people for informational interviews and what not and have no idea who has gotten back to me. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Don't worry, if they email you now their email will bounce back due to a nonexistent address.

Hopefully you kept a spreadsheet with names and emails so you can follow up again.

For future reference, NEVER do any networking on your work address with the exception of Business Development activities. HR monitors employee emails and is all too eager to get people in trouble.

Thanks for clarifying. I was not familiar with how a search fund worked. Makes a lot more sense now. Hope they can re-activate and recover for you given the circumstances.

Like the unadjusted- only with a little bit extra.
