Networking with alumni from divisions that you are not interested in?
If I plan to apply to all IBD positions, should I bother with sending alumni networking emails to employees in say the s&t and research divisions of the banks that I am interested in?
I know that any networking is good, but realistically are the chances pretty slim that someone from a different division would help me out with IBD recruitment?
Thanks everyone!
why not espec if you are from a non-target
I've spoken with alumni from S&T before who have offered to get me in touch with people from IBD. As long as you approach it the right way and make a strong and respectful connection, I don't think that it could hurt.
