They say there's virtually no overlap in investment banking, so perhaps it won't affect FT analyst offers much?

you should call HR and ask them about this situation, i'm not sure about stifel's analysts but twp's incoming analyst class should be fine. stifel and twp cover different vertiacls with very little overlap, so the cuts from integration on the banking side will be very minimal, if any
