Next steps: Networking for fall SA recruiting
I just got off the phone with an alum who works at an elite boutique (Lazard/Evercore/Moelis). It was a good conversation and he gave me good advice on how to tackle the process for SA recruiting this coming fall. Although my GPA isn't very strong (3.4), I am currently working at a good boutique investment bank in NY/LA/SF and getting great m&a transaction experience.
He said that I should send him my resume when recruiting starts so he can get it on the resume pile. I know this is helpful, but how do I ensure that I GET the interview? The reviewers will be looking through a pile of great resumes and will spot my weak 3.4, so given this weakness in my resume, I was wondering what steps I should take to lock down the interview...
