No relevant PE deal experience

I am currently staffed on a few live deals but they are not M&A. One of them is fairly time consuming. I am afraid that come time to start meeting with PE headhunters in January/February, and even when it's interview time in June/July, I won't have any/enough deal experience. The other analysts in my group are on M&A deals and my team is fairly M&A heavy. Should I be concerned?

if you're close with your seniors, express that you'd like exposure to M&A and would be eager to work on any M&A deals that come through the pipeline. Hopefully you can get on something soon or at least you've at least had some Lev Fin deals come through? If all you've done is ECM, yea that might be a tough sell for PE
