Non-Investing Post IB Roles

Hey guys,

Current 2nd year analyst trying to use the holidays to prep for what I want to do post-banking (BB). Not interested in staying in banking (I think the reasons are obvious) but have had a solid 1.5 years. Not really interesting in the investing path so rules out PE etc.

Sounds silly but what other options are there beside corp dev? I still like finance and the overall alternatives space but investing has not appealed to me. Not looking to do banking 2.0 though not necessarily a 9-5 job. Any potential industries / products I could look into? Thanks!

Bump. In similar position as incoming first year at BB NYC debating buy side recruiting. Would appreciate any insights into alt paths that aren’t mind numbing or flat trajectory

Also just a student but what about more „chill“ roles in a BB such as Structured Finance, Loan Capital Markets, Relationship Management etc.?
