Non-target in Milan with internship experience

Hi everyone,

I'm a 3rd year economics student in Milan in a non-target. Just completed my first internship in energy and infrastructure IBD of major Italian commercial bank (headquarters are the synonym of finance in Milan). I was offered an internship in Munich either from Septemeber or January in one of my former employer's subsidiaries always in the same sector.

My goal now is to get an internship in either a MM or BB here in Milan. Do you think it would be wise to write to MD of MM on LinkedIn? There are not many networking events nor banks here in Milan. Do you think I should try for London?
