Non-Traditional Corp Dev Path
Hi everyone,
I’m in my late 20s and I’ve spent the first 10 years of my adult life doing 4 years of military, 3 years of UG, and 3 years of tech sales. I originally pivoted from pursuing FT IB out of college towards sales for the WLB. I didn’t realize I could have had that same WLB, if not better, with Corp Dev and still be able to do the things I enjoy (the strategy of business). I’m now interested in pursuing an MBA to get back into the finance realm.
What would be the best path to get into Corp Dev from here? Should I expect to spend a couple years as an Associate in IB post-MBA or will there be career opportunities in Corp Dev out of a top 15 MBA?
Thank you!
