Not A Single BB Interview
Hey guys,
So I've applied to just about every BB (more than one division for a lot of them). I haven't heard back from any yet, which is a little disappointing, but I can't imagine I don't get a single interview (Non-Target, 3.7).
Just wondering if anyone else has yet to hear from the banks? Also for those that have been through the process, is this normal? Any help is great.
Do you have any contacts at these banks or relevant work experience? Without these, blindly submitting an app to BBs with a 3.7 from a non-target is as good as not applying at all.
No big contacts, but I have been networking and have decent finance experience. Hedge fund internship this summer and have been managing my own portfolio for ~5 years now.
Sounds standard. You won't get a first round interview at a BB from a non target with a 3.7 unless you have 3+ good contacts
Also don't apply to multiple divisions. They can see that and won't think you're serious about IB
Should I withdraw the other apps or does that make it even worse? Also what level in the firm classifies as a 'good contact'?

I have a similar gpa and attend a target and didnt get any BB interviews either even with networking so yeah. It's super competitive.
