No, but you might be able to work at this hedge fund full time.
Do well at the HF. Work at bank next summer. Go back to the HF FT if you still want to.
I don't get it. You like the HF gig so why do you want to do banking?
Is there a possibility to work at the HF next summer? I think your goal should be well known HF FT and keep banking just as an option. You might not be working 45hr/weeks FT at a HF but still will be way way better than banking hours.
I say kick ass at this internship, come back next year and try landing FT at top hedge funds or maybe the current one.
Thanks for the input guys. About the full time thing: They said that they doubt that it will become a full time offer because of current needs. Next summer would be a totally different hedge fund that I have have a contact in that was offering me an internship there this year but I had already had this one.
I am not sure how likely it would be for me to get into a HF full time out of undergrad.
