Not paying taxes on personal business in background check
I have owned my own business the past 7 years of my life. At the peak of it, I was making nearly 10k annually, which I put on my resume. I accepted my SA offer at a BB, and just received papers on my background check.
I never paid taxes on my business, and just took that money and helped pay for college tuition, car, & other expenses.
Should I worry that the money I made never showed up on a tax return....yet showed up on my resume? Can I provide a list of all 30 of my customers accounts and phone numbers/ contact information if they questioned me more indepth?
Basically, is this going to be a problem?
Lol for that level of income I think you don't even have to file...not sure...
No idea whether this will be a problem or not...my guess is no
And you can always say that if the current and former Treasury Secretaries can get away with shady tax shit, so should you!!!
You don't need to file a return if you made 10k a year. Plus, since it was through a business, you would also have to net your income against your expenses. You also get the standard deduction, around that time was probably 5k. I think you're straight. Correction, I know you're straight.
