If I receive a modeling test from a small bank, is this a good sign that they have limited their candidates?
How much competition can I be up against? Did they give out this modeling test to 25 other candidates?

For filling a single position, a small bank does not have time to interview 25+ candidates and almost definitely does not have the appetite to administer and then test that many candidates on a modeling test. I would guess the field is less than 10, maybe even ~5 based on my experience
