Off market apartment steals?

Are there any good spots to find off market apartments?

By off market I mean like not on the basic sites such as Zillow or apartments.com

Was wondering where you could find a landlord that would let you rent and potentially at a discount? Something sneakier and more low key than all those annoying ads that pop up on google.

“Sneakier and low key?” Are you trying to squat in someone’s vacation home while they’re out of town? You can either go with a commercial landlord (I.e., large apartment conplexes) that will have their rent set in stone or you can find a private landlord (I.e., someone who owns a place and rents it out for income) that will potentially be willing to negotiate. Other than that you might find some roommates looking for people on Facebook groups or Craigslist. Between the apartment websites, Facebook groups, and Craigslist, you’ve got 99% of all availability in any area. You might be able to find something by driving around and looking for for rent signs, but most people are gonna advertise their listings online.
