Old Emails
I've got old emails in my inbox from both networking and job hunting. In the case of job hunting, I was told no analyst spots were available but a few firms told me I could check back later, and now it is later.
In both cases, networking and job seaking, should I reply to these old emails, which are mostly to higher-up bankers and not HR (my fear is it will be creepy if several months have gone by) or just send a new email and remind them who I am (with my resume attached in case of job seaking)? And does this depend on how old the email is - say, 6-7 months in the case of job seeking?
Reply to the email, that way if they're confused as to who you are or what you discussed they'll be able to review the email and catch up
Co-sign on replying to an old email. Don't act like you're old friends but use it to remind them who you are (because they probably don't remember you at all-- normal).
sounds good. thanks drexel and bstej.
