Only want to do only M&A or ECM Advice?
As a rising junior, are there any specific steps and resources I should prioritize to be able to specifically pursue M&A or ECM (other than of course preparing for regular IB interviews). Most boutique firms solely focus on these two relative to BB. I am currently pursuing Evercore/ Lazard/ Moelis firms. What about the Big 4 accounting firms who also do M&A advisory?
Any advice related to these two specialties and firms would be appreciated!
All the Big 4 firms have M&A dealteams - usually with good dealflow in the (lower) mid market. They are usually called Corporate Finance advisory, sometimes deal advisory etc.. Just make sure you dodge the transaction services roles which are pure due diligence.
