OPT Question
Does anyone know what the rules are for working during the gap between OPT and the application for the H1B Visa? I used 3 months of OPT last year for my internship and thus have 9 left. That leaves me time to work from July 2010 to late March/ early April of 2011. So what happens if my OPT extension expires a few days/weeks before I actually apply for the H1B or receive it? I am aware that the application for the H1B takes place in April, so it seems that my OPT extension will barely cut it. I would appreciate the input of anyone with experience on this issue.
