Over-Networking?

Is it possible to reach out to so many people at a bank that you develop a reputation for being some sort of politician? Even if you reach out to people in a positive way (i.e., genuinely asking for advice and not pestering any individual too much), could reaching out to too many people hurt you?

Has anybody heard stories of this happening?

It isn't uncommon to have someone forward your email to HR and ask HR to "deal with you." If too many people forward your email to HR, you might find yourself in trouble or becoming a joke in the organization. I suggest you reach out to a few people and if they aren't responsive, then reach out to a few more.
