Panicking!!!

I'm a Junior at a very non-target, I have been cold-calling/emailing, networking, interviewing, and networking. I have part-time IB experience at a one man shop last Fall...just got limited experience, mainly because of the structure of the firm. The partner was always out pitching and I was dealing with clients. I will be working in public finance (PFM group) for the rest of this semester and through the summer. They are well recognized in the public finance space. I'm hoping to use this brand name, and financial analysis skills I will gain to leverage into a decent m&a shop.

My question is, will i have a shot at well-known/elite boutiques/MM firms specializing in m&a for FT? I'm pretty much freaking out...trying to talk to anyone in the industry who can get me an internship. I pretty much let myself down by not getting an offer by now!

i was at a 4 man firm...ended up at a MM from a non target....key is to keep up what you are doing...also idk if your willing to go anywhere but SF MD's will pick up your call... then perhaps pass you on to the head of NY if impressed try that strategy.

I'm actually looking to go to SF esp for FT. Problem is i can't afford to live there for the summer. Most MM/boutiques I have talked to are unpaid internships that do not cover living expenses (Chicago,Houston,NorCal). I've even got offers from them...there is just no way in hell I can afford it....esp with tuition bills.
