Passed the 63 and 79, do I need the 7?

I recently passed the s63 and s79. Am I required to pass the s7? I work at an investment bank with 10-15 employees. A few of the senior guys seem pretty adamant about it, but to be honest I don’t really know any other IB analysts that have had to pass all 3. Not to mention with the new FINRA restructuring, it is technically 4 exams total with the SIE. Should I attempt to negotiate with my firm on this one?
